This bridge was built as the Woodlawn Road Bridge to span the NY Central tracks to the entrance to Bronx Park. It was built from the excavated material from the Jerome Park Reservoir and transported to the site on a spur of the Jerome Park RR. It is the same truss design as the Mosholu Pkwy bridges.
This apartment house at the NE corner of Decatur Ave was built in 1926.
This is where the Jerome Park RR ROW crossed Webster (looking West). The ROW passed to the North of the frame house and in between the apartment houses that face Decatur Ave.
